Rehab Lite


Dr-RodriguezThe International Drug Rehab center now provides clients with the option to enroll in a Rehab Lite program. This recovery program is designed to allow participants to recover from any alcohol or drug related addiction within a period of about two weeks, and is intended for those with only minor substance addiction issues. If you or a loved one is suffering from a substance addiction but need to return to normal life within a relatively short period of time, then the International Drug Rehab’s Lite program may be perfect for your needs.

Many of the clients who enroll in the Rehab Lite program have been involved in minor incidents involving an illicit substance, or have violated a law while under the effects of a substance. This could be anything from a DUI to possessing a small amount of drugs. The program is designed not only to help clients recover from a minor addiction but also to teach clients about drug abuse and addiction so that they can avoid falling prey to it in the future.

Many rehabilitation programs require participants to enroll for months at a time without leaving the treatment center, which can be very disruptive for most people. This is especially true if you are working a full time job, or have a family member or children you have to care for. In fact, the vast majority of people do not have time to commit several months to a rehabilitation center, and this program is the perfect option for anyone who wants to return to normal life as soon as possible after treatment.

pic-003-mediumThe only drawback to the Rehab Lite program is that it is somewhat more intensive than the month stays that are typically at the International Drug Rehab center. Where a typical client might have an hour or so of doctor’s visits and classes to attend each day during the course of treatment, a Rehab Lite client will have to attend more. This is to ensure that they are receiving the same level of care as the other clients, but condensed so as to reduce the overall time it takes to provide effective treatment.

That said, the International Drug Rehab facility is designed to provide an ideal level of comfort and relaxation during the client’s stay. There are numerous options for recreation and relaxation, with mile upon mile of sunny beach stretching in either direction, lush natural rain forest to hike through for nature walks, and bustling communities to explore. The rich culture and raw beauty of Panama provides a unique opportunity for anyone to experience during the healing process, and getting a taste of the food, music, and art of Panama is a great way to take one’s mind off of the stress of recovery.

pic-035-mediumIn fact, the reduction of stress is one of the key components to recovery at the International Drug Rehab facility. Recovery from a substance addiction is taxing physically, mentally, and emotionally, and can raise stress levels to dangerous amounts. Stress is also the number one reason patients tend to quit treatment and fail to cure their addictions at many facilities worldwide. However, the focus on comfort and relaxation provides very high rates of success for patients in both the long term and Rehab Lite programs.

Freedom is also an important aspect of living at the International Drug Rehab center. While there are rules about how one can behave depending on the setting in which one is living, the ability to choose when and how one will recover is very important to both our clients and to the staff at the center. Group homes are strictly substance and alcohol free, and clients are protected against violence, harassment, and other types of mistreatment that may affect their ability to recover quickly and effectively. Following these rather strict rules is easy but absolutely necessary if one wishes to complete the program.

Clients are able to work with physicians, consultants, coaches, and instructors in order to gain a better understanding of their addiction and how to beat it. There are classes in which clients can learn about laws concerning substance abuse, as well as one on one and group therapy sessions where clients can share stories, relate experiences, and help one another grow and recover in a supportive and peaceful way. The emphasis on healing in every aspect of life in the International Drug Rehab center becomes more apparent to clients each day.

While there are plenty of classes and doctor’s appointments to take care of the physical and mental recovery, emotional recovery also appears in many forms. Being able to choose the food one eats and choosing how one spends one’s recreational time is a great way to help clients take their minds off of the addiction they are fighting.

The options for recreation are quiet varied at the center. Transportation to and from golf courses around Panama is provided, and a chance to work on one’s golf game is a great way to take the edge off of recovery. There are also basketball courts and a table tennis room in the center for those who want to practice sports, and a swimming pool and hot tub for anyone who wants to take a dip or do some laps. A fully air conditioned gym is available with personal trainers and yoga instructors who teach classes in everything from aerobics to personal health and fitness. There is a full spa with massage therapists trained in exotic massage and deep tissue, mud baths, hot springs, and all kinds of herbal therapy to reduce cravings and promote inner peace. There are even centers for prayer groups and meditation.

The ability for the client to fight the addiction from which they suffer depends entirely on how comfortable and happy they are during their stay, and the staff at the Panama International Drug Rehab center is devoted entirely to making sure our clients are healthy, happy, and safe during their treatment process.
